I've got the heart of a Robot

Hi,
I've held out on this for awhile because...well I don't know. I truly call this man the best artist I have heard in a long time. Just him and some digital shit, and it is incredible. I am inspired everytime I listen to Daniel Hunter and his amazing voice. There aren't enough words to describe how I feel everytime I listen to any one of those songs. Particularly the song:
PlayRadioPlay-I am a Pirate, you are a Princess
Every song is great. His lyrics are great and all of the melodys are brilliant. I am in awe of him and I can do nothing but sing his praises(and wish I could sing, anything, as well as he does). This music is about all that is getting rotation on my iPod lately and I like it that way. honestly, go check out his Myspace and I swear that you will not be disappointed.
Enjoy.

I started a blog that nobody read

I believe this has been called he blogger anthem. Very depressing actually. But I know that about 7.68 unique people read this blog per day so I am less depressed.

Sprites- I started a Blog that nobody read!

SO comment to make me feel better about this whole thing.

I Always Wanted Sunshine

Hi.
So maybe you know that I like Canadian music. What I am going to do is showcase a couple Canadian bands that I really enjoy, and none of them have much in common with the other... but they are equally as awesome.

First there is a band called North Atlantic Explorers. Obviously their name sparked interest in me, I love the sea, but once I got into the music, I was in love. The songs are beautiful and his voice is just wonderful. And if you take a look at the influences, you should love this band just for mentioning those other artists.
You can check out their myspace here: North Atlantic Explorers
And here is a song-North Atlantic Explorers-Blue Moon on the Rise

Another band is from members of the band Songs from a Room
This band is called Water/Heart and they make great pop songs. They just started so they don't have many songs, but the two that are on myspace are really good: Water/Heart

Last one. Very very good. I will be seeing him tomorrow if all goes well becuase the singing is just incredible. His vocals are so good and the music is great as well. It just goes to show that not every band around here is terrible. Listen to this and enjoy it very much, as I do:
The Run Atlantic on myspace and you can listen to some songs from the album Somewhere in Autum. I will purchase the whole thing tomorrow if I get the chance(and I hope I do)
Sorry this was so long, I will leave you with this:

Lon-done

Thomas doesn't just like rock. That would be, in fact, probably his least favourite genre. D n B, lap pop, Bjork (she's her own genre), or acid jazz are on repeat. Meet Red Snapper, a D n B influenced, jazzy raptronica trio from London. I own their entire back catalogue (a few records). God I love this.

Red Snapper - The Sleepless

Red Snapper - Spitalfields

I think these guys deserve to be up top for a week or two.

Fuck the Killers

Only my beloved Tegan and Sara can do the Boss as good as The Boss. Fuck the Killers and their SPringsteen-esque shit.
I think I'm going to marry Tegan. I'll ask her over msn
Jon- Tegan you their?

TeGAn- *(PimPIN AiNt EaSy)* - sup yo.

Jon- Will you consider marrying me?

TeGAn- *(PimPIN AiNt EaSy)* - STfU...nooooway.

Jon- Why not?

TeGAn- *(PimPIN AiNt EaSy)* - Because your gross and I'm a lesbian.

Jon- are you just saying that to...

TeGAn- *(PimPIN AiNt EaSy)* has disconnected.

Anyway... The song is Dancin in the Dark Covered by Tegan and Sara

Hey coffee eyes

I'm a sucker for collectives. I love the history, the bonding, and the great music that comes with a group of musicians. Urbana/Champaign, Illinois is home to many great acts; beyond Bob Nanna & Braid, there was the Kinsella brothers. American Football, Owls, Owen...and Cap'n Jazz. I love all, but there is something within Cap'n Jazz (maybe it's Davey Von Bohlen) that just gets me with every listen. Energetic, formulated, honest, fun? Just listen, it's great. They formed and disbanded all in the 90's. Mike's 'Owen' project is running strong still, and with the break-up of The Promise Ring, Davey & co continue with Make Believe.

You can drive / We've got our tracks covered

Hi.
So I've been preparring for the driving adventures soon to come[as I just got my license] so I have been listening to a few excellent pop bands, and I have a couple for you right now.
The first band is called Tokyo Ploice Club and they are from Toronto. They just make amazing music that keeps me smiling all day. Here is a song:

Tokyo Police Club-Nature of the Experiment

This other band that I think is great driving music is called In Ink Please. They have split with The Foliage and all of those songs are really great. I love this song:
In Ink Please- The Kurdish Army
IIP have an album coming out soon, look for that.

Harvee

So straight out of Quebec comes a sweet band that I love because they are poppy, have trumpets (Danielson anyone?) and are a happy sounding band that feel like REM but mixed in with the Arcade fire if only because their from Quebec...HOLY RUN ON SENTANCE BATMAN!

ANyway sorry for another shitty intro I thought for sure I would get better at them.
