Steel Belted Radio

Today I was the host of Steel Belted Radio, a weekly 1 hour alt-country, folk, and bluegrass show. I had a blast and I hope I did the show justice.

Available here.
Thanks to Dr. Dale Jacobs for giving me this opportunity. It was a blast.

Johnny West

Windsor is lucky enough to have this gentleman call it home. Johnny West is the prolific Windsor musician who creates music and than releases it for free. Not Radiohead-free like will let you download it which really doesn't cost us money. Like I will produce a physical cd and pass it out downtown free. Pretty cool if you ask me. I have yet to get my own copy of his cd, but I was able to copy it from the cjam library.

The stand out track from his newest "The Chicken Angel Woman With A Triangle" is "Blue Cheese Necklace".

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have been over the last couple weeks.

Wintermitts

I really want to move to Montreal so that I can experience Pop Montreal every year. I think a young festival full of young talent is a great way to celebrate October. Everyone's favourite band, Tokyo Police Club, signed to Paper Bag Records because of their Pop Montreal performance.

However we now direct our attention to Montreal pop-stars Winter Gloves, who are currently touring Canada - making their stop in WINDSOR at the PHOG LOUNGE on SEPTEMBER 24! They have an incredible track titled "Factories" and it deserves an honest listen.

Check them out on Myspace.
